Creator Revenue Share Terms
These terms explain how Miclody shares revenue from eligible video uses of your distributed music. They form part of our Terms of Service.
1. The share
For each eligible video use of a track you have distributed through Miclody, we assign 50% of the net revenue that Miclody actually receives for that use to your creator balance. Miclody keeps the remaining 50%.
Example: if Miclody receives $100 in eligible revenue from tracked video uses of your music, $50 is assigned to your balance.
2. What counts as eligible
- The use must be detected by a platform or rights-management partner and reported to Miclody.
- The platform must monetise the use and pay Miclody for it.
- The track must be original, correctly claimed and compliant with our Acceptable Use Policy.
- Uses that are disputed, reversed, fraudulent or generated by artificial activity are not eligible.
3. Net revenue
Net revenue is the amount Miclody receives after platform fees, chargebacks, refunds and any taxes withheld at source. We do not deduct our own operating costs before calculating your share.
4. Reporting
Platforms report usage on their own schedules, often 30–90 days after the use. Your dashboard shows earnings once we receive and reconcile reports. If you believe a report is wrong, tell us within 90 days of it appearing.
5. Payouts
Balances are paid monthly, within 45 days after the end of each month once your available balance reaches $50. You must provide accurate payout and tax details. We may withhold tax where required by law, and you are responsible for any other taxes on your earnings.
6. Adjustments and holds
If a platform later reverses or reduces a payment, we may deduct the corresponding amount from your balance. We may hold earnings linked to suspected fraud, infringement claims or policy violations while we investigate.
7. Ending the arrangement
If you remove a release or close your account, revenue for eligible uses that occurred while the release was live is still shared when we receive it, provided your account was in good standing.
8. No guarantee
Revenue depends on platform rules, detection and monetisation. Many uses will not produce revenue, and Miclody does not guarantee any level of earnings.
